Marshall Isaac Jourdain, 67, of Couchiching First Nation, Ont., passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Monday, Jan. 11, 2016 at Riverside Health Care Facilities.
Marshall was born on March 11, 1948 in Fort Frances, Ont. to the late Armand and Ivaline Jourdain.
He is survived by his daughters, Tabatha Jourdain (Les Carpenter), Amanda Jourdain (Glenn Smith), and Dana Jourdain (Charles Lundeen), and their mother, Beverly Sweeney; and grandchildren, Tamara, Jonathan (Cassia), Jordan, Jake, Damon, Izzy, Taylor, Nate, Morgan, and Sarah.
Also surviving are his siblings, Irene Morrisseau, Joyce Bruyere, and Armand Jourdain (Lavana); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marshall was predeceased by his parents, Armand and Iva Jourdain; brother, Vernon Jourdain; sister, Rhodianna Flett; and brothers-in-law, Melvin Morrisseau and Lyle Bruyere.
Marshall cherished his family, and looked forward to family gatherings and nicknaming his loved ones. He also enjoyed Bingo, casino, yard work, walking, biking, and music.
Funeral service will be held Friday, Jan. 15, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church at Couchiching First Nation. Fr. Victor De Gagné will officiate, followed by interment in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016 from 4 p.m. at the Couchiching First Nation Bingo Palace.
The pallbearers will be Kevin Singleton, Dakota Bruyere, Jeremy Jordan, Armand Jourdain, Jerome Tuesday, and Garrett Bruyere.
The honourary pallbearers will be Robert “Bob” Bruyere and other close friends and family.
