Marshall Eric Hyatt, 74, of 1131 O’Brien St., Atikokan, Ont., passed away suddenly with his family by his side on Sunday, June 30, 2002.
He was born Aug. 15, 1927 in Devlin, Ont. to the late James and Bertha Hyatt. On April 5, 1950, he was united in marriage to the former Mona Mills.
Marshall spent most of his life working in the bush and driving truck. He was an avid gardener and had a great love for his roses. Marshall also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was predeceased by an infant son, Leonard; four brothers, Carl, Ronald, Stan, and James; and sister, Daisy Whitehead.
Marshall is survived by his wife, Mona, of Atikokan, Ont.; one daughter, Marsha (Harvey) Walker of Atikokan, Ont.; two sons, Frank (Rhonda) Hyatt of Merritt, B.C. and Hollister (Johann) Hyatt of Calgary, Alta.; and sister, Joan (Jim) Daw of Emo, Ont.
Also surviving are his grandchildren, Jackie (Darwin) King, Dawn Walker, and Mike Walker of Atikokan, Ont., Anthony Hyatt and Marshall Hyatt of Thunder Bay, Ont., and Dustin Hyatt and Cody Hyatt of Merritt, B.C.; great-grandchildren, Sydney, John, and Reed King of Atikokan, Ont., and Preston and Aryanna Hyatt of Thunder Bay, Ont.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A visitation will take place at Green Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at 1 p.m., with the funeral to follow at 2 p.m.
Interment will take place in the family plot in Box Alder Cemetery in Box Alder, Ont. immediately following the service.
Pallbearers will be Darwin King, Mike Walker, Anthony Hyatt, Marshall Hyatt, Martin DeGagne, and Stuart Daw.
