Marlene Dustak, 56, of Smiths Falls, Ont., passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at her home.
She was born June 12, 1950 in Fort Frances, Ont. to Nicholas and Margaret Joyce Dustak. She moved to Smiths Falls as a young girl, where she has resided at the Rideau Regional Centre.
Marlene was always happy and enjoyed the company of others. She was very enthusiastic to participate in activities and especially loved to spend time in the swimming pool.
She had an infectious laughter and could be found laughing at the smallest thing for hours.
She is survived by her brother, Frederick Dustak of Fort Frances, Ont. and his children, Shane (Kathy) Dustak, Allan Dustak, and Melissa (Durham) Norman; and great nieces and nephews, Chad and Chase Dustak, and Tanika Norman.
Marlene was predeceased by her mother, Margaret Joyce, on Dec. 18, 1989 and her father, Nick, on May 24, 1999.
A graveside service was held Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at 10 a.m. at Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances. Captain Angel Sandoval of the Salvation Army officiated.
