Marjorie Everett, 74, of Pinewood, Ont., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1999 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
She was born June 30, 1925 in Dalhousie, N.B. to the late Andrew and Greta Mackey. On July 13, 1946, she was united in marriage to George Everett.
Marjorie was a member of the United Church in Plaster Rock, N.B. She worked as a secretary for various businesses all over Canada until her retirement in 1983.
Marjorie had a great love for music, and also played piano and organ in the church. She always played for her family their favourite tunes.
In 1991, Marjorie and George moved to Pinewood, where they have lived for the past nine years.
She was predeceased by one brother, George Mackey; one sister, Hazel; and one grandson, Anthony (Tony) Everett.
Marjorie is survived by her husband, George Everett of Pinewood, Ont.; three sons, Robert Everett and wife, Barbara, of Fort Frances, Ont., Murray Everett and wife, Norma, of Tumbler Ridge, B.C., and Rick Everett and wife, Russelle (Rusty), of Fort McMurray, Alta.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Robert Mackey and wife, Anne, of Lindsey, Ont.
A private family memorial service was held Saturday, Aug. 7, 1999 at 1 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances. Jeraldine Bjornson officiated, with interment in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances.
