we know that she loved us as we loved her.
She spent the last 24 years in Edmonton
at MillwoodÅfs Shepards Care Centre
battling AlzheimerÅfs disease.
Cremation has taken place and
a graveside service will be held
when we fi nally take her home to rest
with her parents and the loved ones
in Minitonas, Manitoba.
Birth Bonds
As leaf to tree, as fl ower to bee,
as cloud to sky and rain.
Like foot to toe, and face to nose,
and person to a name.
Together, forever we will belong.
Just as notes an artist wrote, or lyrics to a song.
There’s links between each living thing
and dusk that turns to dawn.
Like pasts left behind, that we need to fi nd,
in order to carry on.
I hope you know what I’m trying to show,
the point I’m attempting to make.
For a child and a mother
these bonds will never break.
