Marion Jim, 48, of Seine River First Nation, Ont., passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
She was born March 8, 1963 in Fort Frances and lived most of her life at Seine River First Nation.
Marion worked as a bookkeeper for the community for many years. She also was a devoted mother to her two children, and she was well-liked by everyone.
Marion will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
She was predeceased by her mother, Louise Jim, and by one sister in infancy.
Marion is survived by her father, George Jim; her two children, Shanti and Brandon Jim; two brothers, Rex Jim and wife, Debra, and Garret Jim, all of Seine River, Ont.; and two sisters, Bernice and Perry of Michigan, and Angelina and Tim of Seine River First Nation, Ont.
Also surviving are her nieces, Summer, Elyssia, Michelle, and Sarah; and nephews, Chris, Timmy, Zach, and Dwayne.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 25, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, with Fr. Francis Pudicherry officiating.
Cremation followed at Rainy River Cremation Services in International Falls, Mn.
