Marion was born to Allan and Joy Wickstrom on August 30, 1940. Marion attended school, growing up in Fort Frances. As a young woman, she moved to Atikokan and remained there almost all of her life. She was married to Flloyd Parker in 1958. They moved to Ear Falls and while living there they started their family, Connie Margaret was born in September of ’63, Tracy Lynn was born in July of ’65, both were born in Fort Frances. Denise Joy was born in Thunder Bay in December of ’66. Marion and Flloyd returned to Atikokan in the late 60’s for Flloyd’s job. Flloyd and Marion went their separate ways soon after and she settled in to her role of a single mother to her three girls.

In the early 70’s Marion met her stunning Italian Argio (Archie) Tuis who was also known as Nono. On August 25, 1977, Marion and Archie became husband and wife. Soon after their honeymoon to Italy, she settled into marriage life and started working. She cooked at the Old A Hotel before joining the Steep Rock Hotel where she cooked and worked as a chamber maid until retiring in the late 1980’s. Marion was a great cook who loved to share her recipes.

She enjoyed keeping her yard perfect and had a fantastic Christmas light display every year. Marion looked forward to Bingo nights with her friends. She enjoyed fishing and her old steel rod with black line never let her down. Every trip to the grocery store meant a stop at the bakery for pastries, she was their best customer. Marion loved spending time with her family and their numerous gatherings always included cards and many laughs.

She is survived by her three daughters Connie Parker (Shane), Tracy Parker (Kelly) and Denise Parker (Kathleen); her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-granddaughter Ella (She was thrilled to be part of five generations together); brothers Doug Wickstrom (Vicki) and Roger (Chris) Wickstrom; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
