Marilyne Elaine Smith

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marilyne Elaine Smith at her home in Thunder Bay, Ont. on Oct. 9, 2006. She was surrounded by her family.
Marilyne was born in Estevan, Sask. on Aug. 19, 1941 to the late Richard (Dick) and Thelma Smith. Marilyne grew up in Fort Frances, Ont.
She is survived by her daughters, Jo-Anne (Jim) Whiteside, and Wendy and Candee Boulanger and her son, Joe Boulanger; nine grandchildren, T.J., Doug, Shawn, Andre, Maria, John, and Shane Boulanger, and Adam and Mae Whiteside; and eight great-grandchildren, Hope, Faith, Brianna, Savanna, Reagan, Nathan, and Trusten Boulanger, and Gabriel Whiteside.
Marilyne also is survived by her brothers, Gordon (Norma) and Terry Smith; sister, Evelyn (Bill) Shine; aunts, Gweneth Richardson and Violet Friesen; uncle, Clifford Richardson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was a very kind, loving lady, and her door was always open to friends and relatives. She will be missed by all.
As per her wishes, Marilyne has been cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations may be made to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation.
