It is with great sadness the family of Marilyn Venerus (nee Shortreed) announce her passing, November 19, 1950 – January 21, 2025.
With her family by her side, Marilyn will be fondly remembered by her two daughters Shannon Venerus-Brown (Marc) and Melisa Wilson (Tylar); grandchildren Cody Brown, Carter Brown (Jerrica) and Liberty Wilson; great-grandchildren belonging to Liberty – Bristol and Bryson Moen; sister Darlene Tomczak of International Falls; brother Randy Shortreed (Sue) of Fort Frances; brothers-in-law Terry Venerus (Larry) of Fonthill and Dino Venerus (Carla) of Leamington; also very special friend and traveling companion Judy Delapp and all her favorite nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Mario Venerus (October 27, 2016); her parents Raymond and Berna Shortreed; sister Gloria Bergner; brothers-in-law Leonard Tomczak, Glen Bergner, Nells Venerus, George Venerus; and mother and father-in-law Cesare and Teresa Venerus. As per her wishes a private family service will be held at a later date.

Mom (grama/Gigi) will forever be remembered for her strength, laughter, and compassion for her family. The sand of time will never wash away the love we have for you. Your sweet memory will remain forever in our hearts.
