Marilyn Jean Blesi, of International Falls, Mn., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007 at her home.
Marilyn was born June 3, 1967 in Fort Frances, Ont. She attended Rainy River Community College and moved to the Falls in 1995.
Formerly Marilyn J. Geyshick, she was united in marriage to Darrell Blesi on March 16, 2000 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Marilyn enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing, music, and time outdoors. She was a member of the Lac La Croix band.
She was predeceased by her father, Ron Geyshick.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Darrell Blesi; sons, Zachary Geyshick and Ronald Blesi of the Falls; daughter, Chanda Blesi, also of International Falls; mother, Alice (Robert) Chisel of Kenora, Ont.; and grandmothers, Helen Jordan of Kenora, Ont. and Evelyn Lightfeather of Duluth, Mn.
Also surviving are her brother, Melvin (Susan) Geyshick of Burnsville, Mn.; sisters, Sylvia Geyshick of White Fish Bay, Ont. and Kathy Geyshick of Northome, Mn.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Green-Larsen Memorial Chapel in International Falls on Friday, Jan. 5, 2007 at 10 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service.
A wake will be held Friday, Jan. 5, 2007 starting in the afternoon at Lac La Croix First Nation. A traditional service will be held Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007 in the morning at Lac La Croix First Nation.
Interment will be in the Lac La Croix First Nation Cemetery.
