Marilyn Roberta Grinde, 61, of Littlefork, Mn., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009 at the Littlefork Care Center after a lengthy illness.
Marilyn was born March 15, 1948 in International Falls, Mn. to Chet and Aileen Hanson. She attended school in International Falls and graduated from cosmetology school in Thief River Falls, Mn.
She worked as cosmetologist before attending school for bookkeeping in Moorhead, Mn.
She later moved back to International Falls after becoming ill.
Marilyn enjoyed playing golf and cross-stitching.
She was predeceased by her parents; and a brother, Larry “Skinny” Hanson.
Marilyn is survived by her sons, Jeff (JoEllen) Butts of International Falls, Mn. and Brian Grinde of Minneapolis, Mn.; daughters, Becky (Todd) Janssen of International Falls, Mn. and Brenda Grinde of Colorado; grandchildren, Niki (Chris) Kossow and Dylan Janssen of International Falls, Mn.; and great-grandchild, Aiston Kossow.
Also surviving are her sisters, Diane (Jerry) Martin and JoAnne Rusch; sister-in-law, Laurie Hanson; and friends, Kathy and Ken Brokaw.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Green-Larsen Mortuary in International Falls.
