MARIANNE L. LIEDKE

Marianne L. Liedke, 80, of 1305 Beyer Dr., International Falls, Mn., went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Thursday, July 8, 2004.
Born April 8, 1924 in Helvesick, Germany, she immigrated to International Falls in 1951, where she had lived ever since.
The former Marianne Rathje was united in marriage Nov. 26, 1951 to Edmund Liedke at Zion Lutheran Church in International Falls.
She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, reading, fishing, and taking special care of her houseplants. She also looked forward to having company, and was always eager to share her love for the Lord and the promises in His word to family and friends.
Marianne was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, and was baptized at Evangelical Covenant Church on May 8, 2003.
She was predeceased by her parents, Hermann and Maria (Meyers) Rathje; and a brother, Hermann Rathje Jr.
Marianne is survived by her husband, Edmund Liedke of International Falls, Mn.; son, Dennis (Christa) Liedke of International Falls, Mn.; daughter, Rosemarie (Bill) York of Fort Frances, Ont.; and grandchildren, Brian, Christina, and David York, and Angela and Matthew Liedke.
Services were conducted Monday, July 12, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church in International Falls. The Rev. Larry Connors officiated, with music by Tom Reff, Nancy McBride, and Peggy Gustafson.
The eulogy was given by Christina York and Angela Liedke.
Pallbearers were Matthew Liedke, Brian York, David York, Ryan Hampton, Jim Hultman, and Peter. Schultz.
Honourary pallbearers were Peggy Gustafson, Laurie Hedlund, Terry Lahmayer, Marjrae Molskness, Marcia Stewart, Uschi Zizka, and Bev Moorhead.
Interment was in Forest Hill Cemetery in International Falls. Arrangements were with Green-Larsen Mortuary, Inc.
Memorials are being sent to Christian radio station KBHW in International Falls in her memory.
