MARGUERITE RAMONA (GIRLY) LEWIS

Marguerite Ramona (Girly) Lewis, 73, of International Falls, Mn., passed away peacefully Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Grand Itasca Hospital in Grand Rapids, Mn.
Ramona was born Feb. 28, 1940 at home on Couchiching Reserve near Fort Frances, Ont. to the late Gilbert and Florence Perrault.
Ramona loved her family immensely. She enjoyed cooking and having barbecues. She also loved the outdoors and enjoyed travelling with her husband, Irvin.
She also loved attending pow-wows, and spending time with family and friends.
She worked at numerous tourist camps in Canada as a cook.
Ramona is survived by her son, Edwin (Janice) Natawance; step-children, Mark (Crystal) Lewis, Bruce, Ron, and Barb Lewis, and Deborah Briggs; brothers, Gilbert (Colleen) Perrault and Robert (Cathy) Perrault; and sisters, Barb (Dempsey) Calder and Diane Mainville.
She also is survived by her grandchildren, Melanie (Shane) Boorse and their children, Chase and Gage, Tyler Fedorak and his children, Aysha and Bryson, and Ryan Lewis, Josh Lewis, Jeremy Lewis, Jessica Werner, Nathan Lewis, Angie (Paul) Schwartz, Ben Briggs, Charity (Orlando) Gallardo, and Jack Jr. (Makoonse) Briggs; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Irvin H. Lewis; parents, Gilbert and Florence Perrault; brothers, Valentine Perrault and Vernon Perrault; and sisters, Patricia Grover, Victoria Perrault, and Elaine Jourdain.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Green-Larsen Mortuary in International Falls, with Elder Gilbert Smith officiating.
The honourary pallbearers were Chase and Gage Boorse, Aysha and Bryson Fedorak, and her numerous nieces and nephews.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in International Falls.
A luncheon followed at the Ranier Community Building in Ranier, Mn.
