MARGARET MAY RAMSDALE

Margaret Ramsdale, 93, of Emo, Ont., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014 at the Emo Health Centre.
Margaret was born Jan. 15, 1921 on the family farm in Chapple Township to Earl and Agnes Stirrett.
On June 14, 1946, Margaret was united in marriage to Harry Ramsdale and they settled in Emo. Margaret raised her family of five children after the passing of Harry in 1957.
Margaret remained in Emo her entire life. She enjoyed her time with family, baking for them (butter tarts, cookies, and fruit cake), travelling in Canada and Alaska, and several trips to the Brier.
Cribbage and Scrabble were both favourites, and Margaret also spent many enjoyable hours quilting for her family and friends.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Judy Ratcliffe of Winnipeg, Man., Ruth (Richard) Macedon of Fort Frances, Ont., Alan (Iris) of Langely, B.C., and Grace McLauchlan of Edmonton, Alta.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister, Hazel Runions.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Agnes; husband, Harry (1957); son, Roy (2008); sons-in-law, Richard McLauchlan and John Ratcliffe; sisters, Joan (William) Cross, Mary (Clarence) Gavin, Jean (Nels) LaForge, and Ruby (Wally) Minler; brother, Robert Stirrett; and brother-in-law, Karl Runions.
A time of fellowship was held Monday, Oct. 27, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Northridge Funeral Home in Emo.
Interment took place in the Emo Cemetery, with Rev. Frances Flook officiating.
