On August 16, 2007 our beloved mother and grandmother, Margaret Kitzul, passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 86.

Margaret was born in Buchanan, Sask. to Michael and Anna Chmilinsky on March 28, 1921. She was united in marriage to Daniel Kitzul on September 28, 1941 in Fort Frances, Ont. They decided to stay in Fort Frances where they became part of the community.

It was here they settled and raised their five children. Margaret remained home to take care of her family. Her greatest joy was raising her children and playing a significant role in their lives. She shared her Ukrainian heritage and culture with her family by incorporating traditional Ukrainian values and customs in their daily lives. This value system was later introduced to her extended family.

Margaret was an active member of St. George’s Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church and a long standing member of Lesia Ukrainka. Over the years, she volunteered at Rainycrest and the La Verendrye Hospital Auxillary where she assisted in the gift shop.

Remaining to cherish her memory are sons Dennis (Gail) of Fort Frances, Ont., Robert (Renate) of Kitchener, Ont., and Terry of Toronto, Ont.; daughter Marianne of Vancouver, B.C,; and daughter-in-law Heather of Fort Frances, Ont.; sister Vicky Neros of New Westminster, B.C. and brother Steve of Karmarno, Man.; grandson Ric Kitzul of Atikokan, Ont.; granddaughter Cheryl Williams (David) of Atikokan and two great grandsons, Scott and Eric Williams.  She was predeceased by her husband Daniel; son Gary; brother Matt and sister Kay Pidlubny.

She will be forever loved and never forgotten by all of those who loved and knew her.
