MARGARET LOERZEL

Sadly, on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont., Margaret Loerzel passed away suddenly at the age of 71.
Margaret was born in Melville, Sask. to Frank and Mary Lipinski and grew up on the family farm near Grayson, Sask. She was united in marriage to Robert Loerzel on Feb. 20, 1960 and resided in many communities before settling in Emo, Ont. in 1973.
She was always willing to lend a helping hand in any project, and especially loved her crafts, music, and video projects.
Margaret was very active in her church and was past-president of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Women’s League. She also spent a number of years babysitting and caring for many children from the community.
Margaret will be especially remembered for her love of her family. She was a loving wife and mother whose greatest desire was to spend time with loved ones.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Robert, of 48 years; and sons, Dale of Ottawa, Ont., Jim (Tammi) of Thunder Bay, Ont., and Curtis (Jacquee) of Fort Frances, Ont. She also will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Haley and Aiden.
Margaret is also survived by her mother, Mary Lipinski, of Regina. Sask.; brothers, Frank (Mona), Willie (Susan), Ernie (Bernie), and Clarence (Heather); sisters, Agnes (Willie), Doreen (Rodney), and Joan (Jeff); in-laws, Doug (Lynne), Joe, Teresa (Lambert), and Eleanor (Bill); and many nieces and nephews.
Margaret was predeceased by her father, Frank Lipinski; brothers-in-law, Ray and Ernie; and sister-in-law, Frances.
Family and friends were received Monday, Jan. 12, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. at the Northridge Funeral Home in Emo, where prayers were held at 7:30 p.m.
A funeral mass was held Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Emo.
Interment will take place in Emo Cemetery at a later date.
The pallbearers were Syd Curtis, Neil Grant, Don Cunningham, Dale Kaemingh, Rodney Ottenbreit, and Willie Baer.
