MARGARET JOAN DAW

Margaret Joan Daw, 74, of Barwick, Ont., passed away Friday, Sept. 28, 2012 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont., with her family by her side, after a brief battle with cancer.
Margaret was born Feb. 6, 1938 in Durham, Ont. to James and Bertha Hyatt.
She was united in marriage to James Daw on Nov. 12, 1953. Margaret and James resided in several communities throughout the district until settling in Barwick to raise their family.
She worked at various jobs, including the Emo Hospital, Caland Ore Company, and the Red Dog Inn to name a few. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers, reading, woodworking, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Margaret will be sadly missed by her husband, James; children, Connie (Jim Elias) of Emo, Ont., Stuart (Maria Azevedo) of Barwick, Ont., Bonnie (Chuck Gustafson) of Stratton, Ont., and Greg of Sioux Narrows, Ont.; grandchildren, Robert (Elizabeth), Amanda (Justin), Nicholas (Liz), Nicole (Aaron), and Eric; great-grandchildren, Kristina, Billy, Jared, J’Naya, Caden, Madison, Tatum, Kennedy, Mason, Lillian, and James; and her extended step-grandchildren.
She also is survived by her sister-in-law, Mona Hyatt of Atikokan, Ont.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents; granddaughter, Dienna; one sister; and five brothers.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Northridge Funeral Home in Emo, Ont., with Pastor Ken Johnson officiating.
Interment will take place in Box Alder Cemetery, with a reception to follow at the Devlin Hall.
The honourary pallbearers will be all of Margaret’s grandchildren.
