MARGARET JEAN COCHLAN

Margaret Jean Cochlan passed away peacefully on Monday, Jan. 9, 2006 at the Victoria General Hospital in Winnipeg, Man. She was born June 15, 1916 in Regina, Sask. to Christopher and Ethel Cochlan.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her sister, Helen, and numerous cousins.
After residing in several Alberta towns, she began her schooling in Taber, Alta. Then in the spring of 1929, the family moved to Fort Frances, Ont., where Margaret received further schooling.
She later attended Normal School in Hamilton, Ont.
Margaret taught in Fort Frances and area for 10 years. In June, 1977, she retired in Calgary, Alta. following 40 years of teaching.
Margaret enjoyed music, reading, cooking, and keeping abreast of current affairs.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Thomson Funeral Home.
Cremation has taken place. She will be interred with her parents in Fort Frances at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Margaret may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
