Margaret Hellen Edenburn

Margaret Hellen Edenburn 76, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday August 12, 2001 at St. Boniface Hospital, Wpg. Manitoba.
Margaret was born on March 22, 1925 in Welland, Ontario to the late George and Nellie Miner. During World War II, she was stationed in Eastern Canada, where she served with the Canadian Armed Forces as an administrative clerk. Following her discharge, she came to Fort Frances, where on March 14, 1945 Margaret was united in marriage to William Edenburn. She was very active in the community, was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit, the Redwing Rebekah Lodge #109, and the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 29.
She thoroughly enjoyed the company of her family and friends, loved to tend to her flowers, have company over for dinner, tinker with crafts, and make her famous rice pudding and scones. Her family came first and foremost to her, and she was very loyal to her friends. More often than not she put the needs of her family and friends before her own. Her sense of humour and kind heart was a joy to all who met and knew her.
She was predeceased by her husband William on August 14, 1983 in Scotland; her son Robert Wayne, her parents George and Nellie Miner, and one brother Clarence Miner.
Margaret is survived by one son Gregory Edenburn and wife Kathy of Dryden, Ont.; and two daughters Dianna and husband Larry Loveday of Devlin, Ont.; and Shelley and husband Murray Wepruk of Reefpoint, Ont.; six grandchildren Jeffrey Edenburn and wife Syvalania, Erin and husband Abby Mackie, Bradley Loveday and wife Marcy, Johnathan Loveday, and Shane and Tara Wepruk; great grandchilren Mark and Marissa Loveday and Kaden Mackie.
She is also survived by one brother Stanley Miner and wife Pat of Winnipeg, two sisters Phyllis Bedard, and Shirley Bruyere both of Fort Frances, Ont., and by numerous nieces and nephews.
We are comforted to know that she is in the arms of Jesus, Dad, and Wayne. She will be sadly missed but her wonderful memories will live on in all our hearts.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 17, 2001 at 2 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Fort Frances, Ontario with Pastor Garth Clifford officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Frances Cemetery in Fort Frances, Ontario.
