In loving memory of Margaret Hatfield, who passed away suddenly at the Dryden Regional Hospital on Monday, April 25, 2005.
Margaret will be sadly missed by her loving children, Wendy Lavers (Dale), Louise Hatfield-Rousseau (Rick Fostey), Carol Vlassoff (Robert), Nancy Gour (Darcy Ollis), and Norm Hatfield.
Margaret also will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Kristina Doudiet, Felicia McNally (Ryan Hunter), Brian Vlassoff, Kimberly and Rodney Rosseau, Brittney Lavers, Josh Hatfield, and Tonisha Vlassoff; great-grandchildren, Michael Doudiet and Hailey Hunter; sisters, Roxy, Lorna, Yvonne, Shirley, and Jean; brothers, Wayne, Robert, and LyLe; step-brothers, Gaylon and Junior; and all her nieces and nephews.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Henry, in August, 2002; daughter, Darlene; son, Jimmy; and son-in-law, Dale Rosseau in July, 2002.
Margaret was born in Fort Frances, Ont. and lived in the Kenora-Rainy River District all her life. Margaret and Henry lived on Cedar Lake for many years, where they operated a tourist camp, moving back to the trapline at Camp Robinson in 1970.
Margaret and Henry moved to Waldof in 1979 and then to Vermilion Bay in 1980, where they resided until God called them home.
A funeral service was held Saturday, April 30, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, with Fr. Luigi Filippini officiating.
Interment in the Dryden Cemetery followed the service.
Visitation was held Friday, April 29, 2005 from 7-9 p.m. in the Stevens Funeral Homes “Moffat Chapel.”
