MARGARET ‘GERRY’ LUNDQUIST

Margaret “Gerry” Lundquist, 74, of International Falls, Mn., passed away Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003 at her home.
She was born Nov. 30, 1929 at Arbor Vitae, Ont. She grew up in Arbor Vitae and attended Robert Moore School in Fort Frances, Ont. She moved to International Falls in 1948 and had lived there since.
The former Margaret Wiatrowski was united in marriage to Robert “Sonny” Lundquist on Feb. 9, 1949. She received her G.E.D. in 1975, which she was very proud of.
She enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors, craft work, wood carving, and travelling worldwide with her daughter, and loved spending time with her family.
Margaret was a member of the local wood carvers club. She also was a member of the Women of the Moose and was named Int’l. Coworker of the Year in 2000.
She held several different chairs in the Moose Lodge over the years.
She was predeceased by her parents, William and Rose Gronvold; husband, Robert “Sonny” Lundquist; daughter, Judy Gambino; and two grandchildren, Melissa Polus and Maria Jesus Martinez.
Margaret is survived by three sons, Robert (Marjean) Lundquist of St. Paul, Mn., Gerald Lundquist of International Falls, Mn., and Norman (Leah) Lundquist of St. Paul, Mn.; two daughters, Sandra (Lorne) (Bliss) McNay of Fort Frances, Ont., and Linda Mae Meissner of Carlsbad, Calif.
Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, Jack Lundquist, Willie Lundquist, Brande Bliss, Brittney Bliss, Shannon Meissner, Sarrah Meissner, Travis Lundquist, Stacey Gambino, Danika Gambino, Brenton Lundquist, and Tanner Lundquist; and three great-grandchildren, Elijah, Jacob, and Allisa.
Also surviving are three brothers, Bill (Bertha) Brown of Ontario, George (Lisa) Wiatrowski of Windsor, Ont., and Larry Tisch of Windsor, Ont.; and two sisters, Rose Marie Harrison of Thunder Bay, Ont., and her twin sister, Muriel (Tony) Medyk of Thompson, Ont.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003 from 6-8 p.m. at Green-Larsen Mortuary in International Falls, Mn. Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 19, 2003 at 10 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church.
