MARARET COLLEEN WELLS (nee Mallory)

On Aug. 18, 2001, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, Colleen passed away at her home at the age of 66 years.
Mrs. Wells is survived by her husband Wilfred (Bob) and son, Tracy.
Colleen was born in Fort Frances, Ont., on March 1, 1935. She attended Robert Moore Elementary and Fort Frances High School. She married Bob Wells June 25, 1960 in Fort Frances. Their early married life started in Thunder Bay, Ont., then Fort Frances and finally to Winnipeg where they lived for the past 40 years.
Colleen was predeceased by her parents Mr. & Mrs. Harold (Buzz) Mallory and sister Jo Hogan all of Fort Frances.
She is also survived by her brother, Bud (Orlo) and wife, Rosemary of Eau Claire, Wisc.; sister, Beverly Renaud and husband, Bob of Calgary, Alta.; nephews, Brian, Chris and Kimm Renaud; niece, Barbara of Calgary; Bradley and Murray Hogan of Fort Frances; Pauline Cancilla of Winnipeg; Robbie Mallory of Fort Frances; Charleen of Minneapolis; and Jennie of Edmonton.
A Celebration of Colleen’s life will be held at Knox United Church in Fort Frances on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001 at 2 p.m. Interment will take place in Fort Frances beside her parents.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Colleen’s memory to the Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, 675 McDermot R3E 0V9.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Health Sciences Centre for their excellent care during her two stays at the hospital. They also wish to give thanks to the home care staff for their kindness and care, and finally a special thank you to Rev. Sharon Wilson for her many visits and her care and support.
