Mable Larson, 67, a long-time resident of McCrosson-Tovell, Ont., passed away suddenly Monday, March 23, 1998 at the Rainy River Hospital in Rainy River, Ont.
Mable was born May 19, 1930 in Edmonton, Alta.
She was a long-time member of the Lake of the Woods Women’s Institute, and a member of the Lutheran Church. She was employed at various tourist camps in the area, and she also enjoyed living and working on the family farm.
Mable had several hobbies that she enjoyed doing, such as knitting and needle work that she gave to her family as a gift. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Mable is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Kenneth (Bud) Larson; two daughters, Linda and husband, Doug Kreger, of Harris Hill, and Carol and husband, Alvin McClain, of Black Hawk; one son, Darrel and wife, Wanda, of Atikokan; and seven grandchildren, Stacy and Troy Kreger, Tracy and Wendy McClain, and Michelle, Bob, and Jeremy Larson.
She also is survived by one brother, Thomas Burnham and wife, Martha; two sisters, Mary Reid, and Edna Major and husband, Raymond; mother-in-law, Esmeralda; numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law; and two very special friends, Ruth Huntley and Evelyn Stang.
Mable was predeceased by her parents, Alice and Joseph Burnham; two brothers, Arthur and Joseph Burnham; one sister, Emily Stevens; infant daughter, Norma Gail; and father-in-law, Einar Larson.
Funeral services were held at the Bergland Hall on Friday, March 27, 1998 with Pastor Robert Ek officiating. Interment was at Bergland Cemetery.
