The family of Mabel Adeline Plymate wishes to announce her passing away peacefully on Dec. 29, 2016 at her home in Rainycrest Long-Term Care in Fort Frances, Ont.
She was born on Oct. 3, 1931 in Fort Frances, and attended Robert Moore and Fort Frances High School.
Mabel was predeceased by her parents, Frans and Britta Engstrom; husband, Eldon Plymate; sisters and brothers-in-law, Elly and Mike Zub, Margaret and Glenn Canfield, and Doris and Lawrence Calder; brother, Enar Engstrom; and son, Bradley Plymate.
She leaves to mourn her grandson, Derek Plymate and wife, Patty, and their children; sister-in-law, Carol Engstrom; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Auntie Mabel was a cheerful, generous, loving soul and will be missed by her family and friends.
A graveside service will be held Monday, May 15, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at the Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances.
A reception will follow at the Zion Lutheran Church in Fort Frances.
