LYLE MONROE FELIX PLUMRIDGE

Lyle Monroe Felix Plumridge, 61, of Fort Frances, Ont., passed away Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011 at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre in Thunder Bay, Ont.
Monroe is survived by his wife, Betty Plumridge of Fort Frances, Ont..; only son, Kevin Plumridge of Thunder Bay, Ont.; half-sisters, Roberta (Paul) Chabot, Teresa Dolph, and Darlene Dolph; half-brothers, Walter (Diane) Dolph and Donald (Kathy) Dolph; sisters-in-law, Vi Plumridge and Maxine Plumridge; and nieces and nephews.
He was born May 30, 1950 in Fort Frances. Monroe lived in Fort Frances of his life.
On Sept. 9, 1972, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth “Betty.”
Monroe worked as a Beater Engineer at the paper mill. He also was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #29 in Fort Frances, the M.E.C., and CEP 306.
Monroe had a love for the outdoors and very much enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling, and playing darts. He also enjoyed spending time with his dogs, Mitzi and Pepper.
Munroe adored his wife, Betty, and his son, Kevin; they were the light of his life.
He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur “Lyle” and Elizabeth Plumridge; his birth mother, Mabel Dolph; sisters, Ann (Gaston) Camirand, Jane (Einar) Larson, and Nancy Sharbot; and brothers, Maurice, Jim, and Paul (Rosellen) Plumridge, Joe Plumridge, and Gilbert (Marlene) Plumridge.
Cremation has taken place in Thunder Bay.
A luncheon was held Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion.
The honourary pallbearers were Desi Grant, Darcy Meyers, Lyle Hyatt, Jim Marr, Rod Plumridge, William Plumridge, Tim Chabot, and Neal Grant.
