Lyle (Andy) Anderson

Lyle (Andy) Anderson passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 25, 2006 at the Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, B.C. with his family at his side.
Andy was born Oct. 18, 1940 in Barwick, Ont. He grew up in Stratton, Ont. and left when he was 18 to join the navy. He spent 32 years in the Canadian military and five years with National Defence headquarters in Ottawa.
In retirement, Andy pursued his passion for genealogy.
He was predeceased by mother, Ruth and his father, Woodrow.
He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley; sons, Shawn and Shane, and daughters, Lisa and Lori; stepsons, Jeff and Brad, and stedaughters, Shannon, Danette, and Tamara.
He also is survived by his sisters, Wanda, Sharon, Colleen, Gail, Judy, and June and all their families, including 22 very special grandchildren that he cherished every day.
A few of the many associations he belonged included Knight (KSM)—The Holy Chivalric Order of St. Michael the Archangel; Order of the Morovingian Dynasty (OMD); Military Order of the Crusades (Knight); Military Order of Stars & Bars; Noble Society of Celts (NSC); and Society of the Descendants of Knights of the Most Noble Order of the Garter.
His military honours and awards included the Queen’s Silver Jubilee Medal, Canadian Forces Decoration (CD2) for 32 years of service; and the Government of Canada Medallion for 38 years of service.
