In loving memory of Lucy Fedoruk, 94, of Fort Frances, Ont., who passed away peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances.
Lucy leaves behind her four children, Lena and her husband, Lindy Wallen, of International Falls, Mn., William (Sambo) and his wife, Esther, of Fort Frances, Ont., Mae Fedoruk or Fort Frances, and John and wife, Cassie, of Fort Frances, Ont.
Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, Lindy (Angela), Ellen (Greg), Bruce (Nancy), Sammy (Ricki), Ken (Natalie), Janet (John), Karen (David), Donna (Jeff), Lori (Cliff), Patty (Brian), Bob (Penny), and Diane (Randy); 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Annie Mikity of International Falls, Mn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel Fedoruk; brothers, Pete and John; and sisters, Katie, Alice, and Mary.
Lucy was born April 25, 1906 in Caribou, Mn. to the late Alexander and Mary Mikity. On Nov. 27, 1922, she was united in marriage to Sam and together they moved to Fort Frances in 1925.
In her younger years, Lucy enjoyed gardening, especially working with flowers and needlepoint. She had a special talent for embroidery.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 2, 2001 at 11 a.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances. Friends may visit one hour prior to the funeral service.
The pallbearers will be Lucy’s grandchildren.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, in memorium donations be made to the Continuing Care Unit at La Verendrye General Hospital, 110 Victoria Ave., Fort Frances, Ont., P9A 2B7.
