Lottie Alvina Larocque, 102, passed away Friday, Feb. 25, 2000 at Dufferin Place, Nanaimo, B.C.
She was born Sept. 26, 1897 in Langford, Liberty Township, South Dakota to Otto and Baro Ottoson. The family moved to Minnesota in 1904, then Canada in 1905, settling in the Blackhawk, Ont. area.
In 1920, she married Joseph Adolphus Larocque, a veteran of WW I, and they lived in the area until 1944, when they moved to Vancouver, B.C.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, in 1970; brothers, Oscar and Peter; sisters, Nora, Tillie, Minnie, Rudy, and Minda; and two daughters, Henrietta and Leonie.
She is survived by two sons, Adolph and Louis of Nanaimo; one daughter, Elsie Kena of Sechelt, B.C.; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held in Nanaimo, B.C.
