LORRAINE GILES

Lorraine Aurore Giles (Lambert) peacefully went home to be with Jesus, her Lord and Saviour, on Friday, March 13, 2015.
Mom was born March 15, 1925 in Rainy River, Ont. to Charles and Marceline (Duhamel) Lambert.
Lorraine attended school and worked in Rainy River, where she married her husband, Douglas Giles, on Aug. 23, 1949.
She treasured her time playing cards at the Rainy River Seniors’ Centre. Mom also was a member of Zion’s Reign Apostolic Center in Rainy River.
She was a prayer warrior who faithfully prayed for her family and others in need.
Lorraine was predeceased by her parents; and siblings, Alice, Emil, Joseph, and Paul.
She will be missed by her sister, Florence Couture of Winnipeg, Man.; sister-in-law, Patricia Berg of Rainy River, Ont.; and brother-in-law, Archibald Giles of Vancouver, B.C.
Lorraine also will be greatly missed by her husband, Douglas and their children, Rodger (Shirley) Giles of Surprise, Ariz., Patrick (JoAnne) Giles of Rainy River, Ont., Anita Marcotte of Winnipeg, Man., Gloria Giles of Fort Frances, Ont., and Peter (Silvia) Giles of Fort Frances, Ont.
Grandma also will be missed by Chris (Barbie) Giles, Jeremy (Melissa) Giles, Chris (Monica) Giles, Paul (Melissa) Giles, Melissa Giles, Ashley (Jon) Barker, Alicia Giles, Kathryn (Bruno) Biondi, Jonathan Marcotte, Sarah Marcotte, Rachel (Don) Saranchuk, Daniel Marcotte, Micheal (Tiffany) Giles, John Giles, and Christine Giles; and by her 14 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life for Mom was held Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Northridge Funeral Home in Emo, Ont., officiated by Darlene Smith.
Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Rainy River at a later date.
