With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Lorna Jean Arbuckle.
Born February 8, 1930, in Cochrane, Ontario, and passed away on Jan. 2, 2025, at the age of 94. She was an amazing woman. Those who met her, their lives were changed forever. She loved her family, friends and the community. She volunteered for many years. Over the years she was active member of the Legion and Hospital Aux., The Order of Eastern Star and Kiwanis. She was the Welcome baby and Welcome Wagon lady for many years. She loved her friends and church family from Evangelical Fellowship Church. She enjoyed playing cards and going out with friends. She was our family Chinese Checker champ, very few ever beat her. She was a passionate gardener. She had beautiful flowers and veggie garden and her sunflowers grew very tall. In later years she had a patio garden. She loved to travel and get the family together for many adventures.
She’s survived by her sons Murray (Janice), Dale (Mary Ann), Stanlee; and her daughter Alice (Delbert); grandchildren Shirley, Sam (Crystal), Amanda (Kyle), Dean (Christina) Samantha, James, Tia (John) and Courtney; great-grandchildren Bethany, Trenton, Jewel, Darrel, Jennifer, Zeiden, Adele and Coby; brother-in-law Ron and sister-in-law Marlene; and many nieces and nephews; special friends Jan, Cheryl, Linda, Beth, Harold and Kirk.
Predeceased by her loving husband Sam (married 67 years); brother John; parents Betty and Murray.
