With great sadness the family of Lloyd Robert Tilley of Blackhawk, ON, mourn his passing at home at age 64, on Saturday, August 14, 1999 after suffering from a long illness.
In his earlier years he did what he enjoyed most as a hunting and fishing guide. He cherished and reminisced about the many outings with his close friends and relatives. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren. They brought a lot of joy to his life. He was also previously employed by the MTO for many years.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Kathleen Ruth Tilley in 1992.
Beloved father of Bonnie Kamm (Ryan) of B.C., Jimmy Tilley of Winnipeg, Janey Tilley (Danny Treadway) of Kenora, Ellen Campbell (Richard) of Ottawa, and Billy Tilley of Blackhawk. He is survived by his sisters and brothers Vi (Wes) Anderson of Atikokan, Clarence (Elsie) Tilley of Cold Lake, AB, Hermina (Mel) Fletcher of Fort Frances, Faye (Ed) Turner of Dryden, Jim (Val) Tilley of Dryden, and Peter (Marilyn) Tilley of Dryden. Also, loved by his six grandchildren Curtis Tilley, Adam Treadway, Steven and Jake Kamm, and Erin and Noah Campbell. He will also be fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and many close friends.
The pallbearers are Melvin Fletcher, Paul Wepruk, Terry Godin, Wesley Anderson, Dave Bragg and Alfred Gates.
The honourary pallbearers are Kenny Lalonde, Gary Lalonde, Murray Lalonde, Stan Daw, Wes Anderson, Bradley Haw, Phillip Schramm and Jim Daw.
A visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 18, 1999 from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Green Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 19, 1999 at 1 p.m. at the Knox United Church in Emo, ON. Reverend Frances Flook will officiate with interment in the Barwick Cemetery.
