Our dear and only brother, Lloyd Langstaff, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont. at the age of 70.
He was born on Nov. 5, 1940 in Emo, Ont. to Edmund and Marguerite Langstaff.
We remember him fondly as a caring brother who was always willing to give a hand when called upon.
Lloyd enjoyed reading, and had a soft heart for his nieces and nephews. He also had a great love for animals.
Our brother worked for a brief time in the Fort Frances Police Station as a clerk, and also the CN Railway in Fort Frances and Winnipeg until he retired at the age of 55.
He is survived by his three sisters, Ann McLeod, Colleen (Donald) MacEachern, and Patricia (late John) Dittaro; numerous nieces and nephews; and his close friend, Irene Hill-Haver.
Lloyd was predeceased by his parents, Edmund and Marguerite Langstaff; and brother-in-law John Dittaro.
Cremation has taken place, and a graveside service was held Monday, Oct. 3, 2011 at 11 a.m. in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances.
A lunch and fellowship followed at the MacEachern family home on Second Street East in Fort Frances.
The honourary pallbarers were Geoff MacEachern, Christopher Dittaro, Bradley Dittaro, Hanz Schuemacher, and Murray and Darren McLeod.
