LINDA SUSAN KOZIK

The family of Linda Susan Kozik would like to confirm her unexpected death on March 14, 2015 in Fort Frances, Ont.
Linda was born Feb. 28, 1956 to Fred and Patricia (nee Shelbourne) in France, where Fred served a term in the Royal Canadian Air Force.
She spent the majority of her life in the Fort Frances area, enjoying fun times in her youth at the Koziks’ cabin at Bears Pass with her Uncle Nick, Aunt Pat, cousins, Paul, David, Kim, Mark, and Donna, and brother, Jim.
Linda held fond memories of being raised by her hard-working grandmother, Mary Kozik, in the east end of Fort Frances.
In 1987, Linda graduated near the top of her class with a BScN RN degree.
Linda’s’ excitement grew with every chance to travel abroad with close family like her brother, Jim, and the love of her life, David Roach. She had spent 35 years of her life by Dave’s side until his death in 2006.
Linda enjoyed every opportunity to visit her Aunt Rita, Uncle Edmund, and her cousins, Lesley, Sandra, and Aimee, as well as their own extended families.
Linda spent the past 15 years residing in Fort Frances until her passing. She spent the time taking wonderful care of her dogs, Chester and Daisy, where she could be seen walking “the Kids” frequently up near the Point.
During the summer, she tended to her flowers and spent many fun weekends “yard sale-ing” with step-sister, Jan.
Linda is survived by her brother, Jim; cousins, Paul, David, Kim, Mark, Donna, Lesley, Sanda, and Aimee; Aunt Rita; Uncle Edmund; as well as step-sister, Betty-Lou (Mike and Michelle); step-niece, Jenny; step-nephews; Robbie and Derek; Godmother Mary, and all of their extended family.
While we certainly struggle with some form of closure, we trust Linda is resting in a better place.
In lieu of flowers, we are sure Linda would appreciate any contributions to the “Friends of Animals” in Fort Frances.
