Linda Marie Calder, 59, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 13, 2007 at her home with family at her side after a courageous eight-month battle with cancer.
Linda was born Jan. 18, 1948 to the late Roy and Deloris Akset of International Falls, Mn., and was united in marriage on Aug. 30, 1963 to Edward Calder Jr. of Fort Frances, Ont., where they made their home and had one daughter, Carlene.
In 1968, they moved to Vancouver Island and settled in Tahsis.
Linda lived for her family and will be dearly missed by husband, Ed; daughter, Carlene; and her greatest treasures, grandchildren, Ed and wife, Tara, and Cynthia.
She also is survived by two brothers, Richard (Linda) and Wayne (Elaine); brother-in-law, Ray Calder (Val) and family of Fort Frances, Ont.; and sister-in-law, Delphine Bodnarchuk (Bill) and family of Thompson, Man.
She was predeceased by her sister, Joan Del.
Cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
