Lilly Boldero

It is with great sadness that the family of Lilly Boldero, 77, of Pattullo Township, Ont. announce her passing Saturday, June 8, 2002 at the Emo Hospital in Emo, Ont.
Lilly was born Nov. 29, 1924 in Pattullo Township to John and Emma Brown. She spent all of her life in this area. On Oct. 27, 1941, she was united in marriage to Charles John (Jack) Boldero, and together they made their home on the farm in Pattullo Township.
She loved to spend time gardening, doing embroidery and needlepoint, cooking, and being with her family. She handmade a quilt for each of her grandchildren.
She was a kind and generous woman who never looked at life negatively. Her optimistic look on life will be missed by everyone who knew her.
She was predeceased by her parents, John and Emma Brown; husband, Jack on Oct. 11, 1994; son, John on July 1, 1963; infant granddaughter, Tammy on April 12, 1972; brother, John; and sister, Mary.
Lilly leaves behind her daughters, Emily and husband, Dean Smith, Dorothy and husband, Stephen Gerley, and Kathleen and husband, Albert Leek; son, Bryan; grandchildren, Debbie (Mike) Mulholland, Tina (Rick) Boldero-Falloon, Briana (Trevor) Boldero, Geoffrey, Andrew, and Jacqueline Gerley, and Julia, Anthony, and Christopher Leek; great-great-granddaughter, Gwynne; step-grandchildren, Dale (Lori Lee), Jim (Donalda) Smith, and Shelly (Ben) Janzen; and great-grandchildren, Jennifer, (Justin) Cadarette, Joel, Taylor, Cheyenne, Scott, Jonathan, Matt, Nicole, Samantha, Jessica, Amanda, Alysha, Tiffany, Dustin, and Josh.
Also surviving are her daughter-in-law, Rhonda Boldero; sister, Peggy (Phillip) Bellamy; brothers, Henry (Edna), Robert (Nell), and Lawrence (Maxine); numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her beloved dog, Eb.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 13, 2002 at 2 p.m. at Stratton United Church in Stratton, Ont., with Rev. Barbara Miller officiating.
Interment in Pineridge Cemetery in North Branch, Ont. will take place at a later date.
Pallbearers were Lee Westover, Charlie Miller, Keith Fifield, Kenton Fifield, Nelson Brown, and Mike Mulholland.
In memoriam donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Riverside Health Care Facilities (Emo Hospital), or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
