LILLIAN PHYLLIS MORRISSEAU

Lillian Phyllis Morrisseau, 49, of Couchiching First Nation, Ont., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
Lillian was born Feb. 8, 1958 in Atikokan, Ont. She was raised in International Falls, Mn., where she met Richard at an early age and later was united in marriage to him on May 19, 1978.
She loved visiting with family and friends, and enjoyed playing pool, bingo, and gambling at the casinos.
Lillian worked as a carpenter for many years. She later returned to school and acquired her Personal Support Worker Certificate. Following graduation, she was employed at Rainycrest Long-Term Care, where she had been working.
Lillian was well-liked by everyone who knew her, and she will be missed dearly by her family, co-workers, and many friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Phillip Tom and Kathleen Glover; step-father, William Glover; her son, Richard Morrisseau Jr.; one brother, Gary Glover; and father-in-law, Harry Morrisseau Sr.
Lillian is survived by her husband, Richard Morrisseau, and two sons, Lonny Morrisseau and Matthew James Morrisseau, all of Couchiching First Nation, Ont.; two brothers, John Stewart and wife, Claire, of Elliott Lake, Ont., and Bill Glover and wife, Marsha, of International Falls, Mn.; three sisters, Viola Sumner of Fairford, Man., and Elizabeth Tom and Shirley Councillor, both of International Falls, Mn.; and mother-in-law, Louise Morrisseau of Fort Frances, Ont.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 4, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church at Couchiching First Nation. Fr. Joseph Arockiam will officiate, with interment in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery at Couchiching First Nation.
A wake will be held Sunday evening from 5 p.m. at the multi-use facility at Couchiching First Nation. Prayers will be offered at 7 p.m. with Deacon Elmer Mainville.
The pallbearers will be Kelley Monkman, Dennis Morrison, Elmer Spence, Bradford Morrisseau, Vernon Horton, Everett Jourdain, William Sumner, and Clifford Sumner.
Honourary pallbearers will be Peggy Martineau, Maxine Perrault, Sandra Jourdain, Lucille Morrisseau, Darlene Morrisseau, and Kelly Morrisseau.
