Lillian Lindholm, 53, of Winnipeg, Man. and formerly of Fort Frances, Ont., passed away suddenly Monday, Jan. 6, 2003 in Cancun, Mexico.
Lillian was born July 21, 1949 in Deerlock, Ont. to the late Steve and Annie Eliuk. She had worked as a sales representative for Coremark Distributors in Winnipeg for a number of years.
She was an avid outdoors person who enjoyed fishing. She also loved sewing and knitting.
Lillian is survived by her son, Jamie Eluik and wife, Leanne, of Emo, Ont.
She also is survived by sisters, Helene Rekrut of Sundown, Man., Mary Holland of Thunder Bay, Ont., Iris and husband, Leo Langlois, of Winnipeg, Man., and Alice and husband, Roger Lougheed, of Nestor Falls, Ont.; brothers, Paul Eliuk and wife, Beverly, of Sioux Narrows, Ont., Mike Eliuk and wife, Marie, of Sioux Lookout, Ont., John Eluik and wife, Judy, of Atikokan, Ont., and Nick Eluik and wife, Sonja, of Thunder Bay, Ont.; her very special friend, Jim “Sam” Easton of Fort Frances, Ont.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Steve and Annie Eliuk; and brother, Bill Eliuk.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003 at 10 a.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, with Rev. Marietta Marshall officiating.
Friends visited with the family on Monday, Jan. 13, 2003 from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Green Funeral Home.
Honourary pallbearers were Carol Alton, Ann Markham, Louise Bliss, Linda Shannon, Diane Hatfield, Donna Klassen, Mary Gibeault, and Molly Stout.
