LILLIAN JOHNSON

It is with great sadness that the family of Lillian Johnson announces her peaceful passing at Princess Court on Sunday, Feb, 29, 2004 at the age of 85.
Lillian will be sadly missed by her daughters, Wendy Watson and her husband, Don, of The Pas, Man., Ruth Leclerc of Dryden, Ont., Donna Harrison and her husband, Graham, of Mississauga, Ont., and Christina Maltais and her husband, Dan, of Dryden, Ont.
Lillian also will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Terry Miller of Winnipeg, Man., Rusty Miller (Wendy) of Dryden, Ont., Vincent Miller (Lana) of The Pas, Man., David Leclerc (Shannon) of Dryden, Ont., Lisa Spencer (Richard) of Dryden, Ont., Robin, Neil, and April Harrison, all of Mississauga, Ont., and Jillian, Derek, and Christian Maltais, all of Dryden, Ont.; her great-grandchildren, Fawn and Skyler Miller, Brooklyn and Mathew Miller, Jessie and Shelby Miller, and Allie and Lindy Leclerc; as well as her sister, Edna McKenzie of Fort Frances, Ont.
Lillian was predeceased by her husband, Russell; sisters, Hazel Paterson, Ilene Armstrong-Rivard, and Iva Baldwin; and brother, Orville Cooper.
Lillian was born and raised in Emo, Ont. In 1948, she moved with her husband, Russell, to Dryden to start the family business, Armstrong and Johnson Motors (later called Mercury Motors).
Lillian worked at the Strand Theater for a period of time before joining Russell at the family business.
Lillian and Russell retired in the late 1970s after a full and productive career together.
Lillian enjoyed sewing, knitting, bowling, curling, and especially spending time at her camp. Lillian was a member of the Legion Auxiliary and the Rebekah Lodge.
A private family service will take place at a later date.
