LILLIAN ETHEL OGIER

It is with great sadness that the family of Lillian Ethel Ogier announce her passing on Monday, August 10, 2009 at Rainycrest Home For The Aged, Fort Frances, ON.
Lillian was born on April 23, 1918 in Blue Township, ON to Joseph and Elizabeth Selman.
She was united in marriage to Nicholas Ogier on June 16, 1942 at her parents’ home.
She was a wife and a partner in all things from raising the children to hauling wood with horse and drey.
Lillian lived a quiet life that was very family orientated.
She enjoyed being on the farm, going to the lake after church and visiting with family in Sleeman and Rainy River.
She especially loved watching her grandchildren grow.
She was predeceased by her husband Nicholas; infant son Nicholas; granddaughter Dienna; her parents Joseph and Elizabeth; step daughter Dulcie (Wes) Johnson; son-in-law Carl Lange brothers George (Roxie) Selman and Martin Selman; sisters Mamie (Adolf) Klaus, Olive (Ken) Anderson, Verna (Chuck) Race, Viola (Bill) Seltzer, Rena (Tony) Caouette; and Belle (Fred) Metzker
Lillian leaves behind her children Phyllis Ogier, Patsy Olson, Harold (Gwen) Ogier, Joan Ogier of Fort Frances, ON; Joyce (Charlie) Langton of Vermillion, AB; Ruth (Douglas) Cann of Emo; Ronald (Sandra) Ogier, Allan Ogier of Devlin; Garry Ogier; stepdaughter Yvonne Lange of Atikokan; 18 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Lorna Selman and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Green Funeral Home. Pastor Diane Clifford will officiate with interment in the Boxalder Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be Lillian’s grandsons.
