It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Leslie Edward Jensson on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at his home in McInnes Creek, Ont.
Leslie was born in Rainy River, Ont. on Oct. 18, 1937.
He will be greatly missed by his brother, Stanford (Maxine) of Dryden, Ont.; sisters, Grace Pearson of Smithers, B.C. and Judy (Gary) Cwiak of Winnipeg, Man.; and his many nieces and nephews and special cousin, Hugh Jensson.
He was predeceased by his parents, George and Stella, and brother, Clarence.
Leslie was very active at the McInnis Creek Chapel. For many years, he looked after the cemetery and for the Christmas dinners, he would decorate the tree and do the outside lights.
For the spring yard sale, he would go to Canadian Tire and buy new things.
He always looked forward to his cousin, Hugh, coming for his morning coffee. He and Hugh sometimes would go ice-fishing and in the summer go out on the boat.
He also loved to plant a garden and flowers. He had many apple trees and would love to give them away in the fall.
He farmed on the family farm all his life.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the McInnes Creek Chapel.
Interment will take place in McInnes Creek Chapel Cemetery.
