LESLEY RAE OTTERTAIL

Lesley grew up on Seine River and Lac La Croix First Nations. She relocated to Kenora, where she remained for the next 20 years.

She was always the life of the party and always had a smile and laugh that would light up a room.

Lesley was always willing to help when someone was working on their cabin and she would be there to lend a helping hand. This hard work ethic was something she passed on to her children.

She loved the outdoors and always enjoyed getting out on the lake to fish.

She was a very loving person to everyone but especially she will be greatly missed by her children and nieces and nephews and her “million” cousins.

Left to mourn are her parents Alice Ottertail and Howard Whitecrow; children Tia Waite, Tyra Waite, Tyson Waite, Talice Ottertail, Tereigh Ottertail and Tallysa Ottertail; siblings Angie Ottertail, Amanda Ottertail, Heather Whitecrow, Nicholas Spencer and Skyler George.

She was predeceased by sisters Annika George and Angel Ottertail; and son Micheal Slobozian Jr.; and grandparents Irene and Joe Whitecrow Sr. and Clara and George Ottertail.

A traditional wake was held on Friday, December 9, at 4:00 p.m., with a service on Saturday, December 10, at 10 a.m. at Seine River FN.

Arrangements entrusted to Northridge Funeral Home Ltd. Emo, Ontario.
