Leonard Wilson, 66, of International Falls, Mn., passed away peacefully at home, with his loved ones by his side, on Friday, April 25, 2014.
He was born Nov. 20, 1947 in Emo, Ont.
Leonard was married for 40 wonderful years to Wilma (Jourdain) Wilson.
He retired from MD&W after 33 years of service. He was nicknamed “Lucky” by the guys at MD&W.
Leonard loved spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren. He also enjoyed his years spent with the crew on the railroad.
His favorite hobbies were scratching lottery tickets and taking trips to the casino (this is how he got his nickname).
He also enjoyed nature and wild animals, fishing, and cruising on his scooter. He was a big sports fan; he always had a game on his TV and rarely missed a Vikings, Twins, or Minnesota Wild game.
When the TV wasn’t on, he was listening to old classic country.
Leonard was predeceased by his parents, Leonard “Buckskin” and Agnus Wilson; brother, Joseph Wilson; and sisters, Hilda Wilson, Helen (Wilson) Hunter, and Jean (Wilson) Anderson.
Leonard is survived by his wife of 40 years, Wilma (Jourdain) Wilson; son, Leonard (Mindy) Wilson Jr.; daughter, Lynn Wilson; grandchildren, Ashley, Alicia, Alex, Hunter, and Allison; and great-grandchildren, Daegen, Alexis, and Kaitlyn.
Also surviving are his brother, Willie (Carol) Wilson; and sisters, Roberta (Wayne) Sinclair and Genniave McGinnis.
