LEONARD RODNEY HYATT

Leonard Rodney Hyatt of Moose Jaw and formerly of Devlin, Ont., passed away Dec. 1, 2021.

Len was born Oct. 29, 1961, the youngest of six children, and was raised on the family farm south of Devlin. Growing up, Len helped with the farm chores and at an early age showed a natural talent for mechanical repair. Summers were spent with the neighbour kids swimming in the LaVallee or Rainy rivers, camping in back yards and just having fun.

After high school in Fort Frances Len worked several jobs, eventually learning to weld. He was highly skilled at his trade, becoming a Red Seal Welder and worked at sites all across Canada and in the U.S. Len finally settled in Moose Jaw and was a proud father, grandfather and proud member of the Boilermakers Local 555.

He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Marie; brother Lyle and infant brother Richard. Len will be lovingly remembered by his three sons; Daniel, Jordan and Nicholas [Danielle]; grandson Myles; brothers Alvin and Doug; and sisters Carol and Debbie. Cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life to honour Len will be held at a later date with internment in Boxalder cemetery in Devlin. Donations in memory of Len may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Sask. Unit 26- 1738 Quebec Ave., Saskatoon, Sask. S7K 1V9.
