Leonard Larson, 51, of Fort Frances, Ont., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances.
Leonard was born May 22, 1959 in Emo, Ont. to the late Ingvald and Lillian Larson.
He drove truck for many of the local contractors throughout the district, and had a great love for spending time at the Emo Speedway.
Leonard was united in marriage to Suzanne Bois on June 13, 1998.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Suzanne, and their children, Brandon and Sarah, of Fort Frances, Ont.; and siblings, Doreen (Vern) Thompson, Marlene Visser, and Don Larson, all of Emo, Ont., and Alfred Larson of Fort Frances, Ont.
Leonard also is survived by his in-laws, David and Laurette Bois; brother-in-law, Gilles (Kathy) Bois and family; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Leonard was predeceased by his parents, Ingvald and Lillian; and brother-in-law, Sam Visser.
A time of fellowship was held Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011 from 1-3 p.m. at the Northridge Funeral Home in Emo, Ont.
Cremation has taken place and interment will take place at a later date.
