With his beloved children and family by his side, Leonard F. Bedard Sr. passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012 at the Thunder Bay Regional Heath Centre in Thunder Bay, Ont.
Leonard was born Jan. 14, 1957 in Fort Frances, Ont.
He leaves to mourn his children, Leonard Jr., Joel (Monique), and Mathew; beloved grandchildren, Nicole, Avery, Brooklyn, Caitlyne, Emma, and Alex; brothers and sisters, Allan (Laura), Charlene (Fred), Brenda (Chuck), Albert (Laurie), Victor (Mae), Tom (Barb), Diane (Wes), and Randy (Brenda); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Leonard was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Evelyn; and son, Richard.
Leonard worked at the mill all his life. He enjoyed crosswords and Sudoku, and he loved to watch movies or play video games with his children and grandchildren.
He was an amazing poet who also wanted to be a writer.
A wake will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, Ont.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances, with a eulogy by Allan Bedard Sr.
A luncheon will follow at Brenda McPherson’s home, 308 Gabes Rd., Couchiching First Nation.
The honourary pallbearers will be Leonard Bedard, Joel Bedard, and Mathew Bedard.
