LEONARD ARCHIBALD HOWELLS
It is with great sadness that the family of Leonard Howells announces his passing at the age of 72.
Leonard was born Jan. 14, 1935 in Nelles Township, Ont. to George and Noreen Howells. Leonard lived and worked in Rainy River District all of his life.
He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. This was reflected in his work as a guide at Crawford’s Camp and Canoe Canada.
He was united in marriage to Pricilla Perrault on Aug. 8, 1956 and together they raised 10 children. He loved spending time with his family, and particularly enjoyed his visits with the grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, George and Noreen; wife, Pricilla; daughter, Nicole in infancy; and granddaughter, Samantha.
Leonard will be lovingly remembered by his children, Wendy Petsnick (Wayne), Karl Howells (Marie), Lynn Tucker (Brian), Leonard Howells Jr., Donald Howells (Rhonda), Cary Howells (Billy), Susan Chenier (Scott), Leslie Howells, Lenette Anderson (Dan), and Patricia DeGagne; 21 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are his siblings, Connie McKelvie (Fred), George (Alvin) Howells (Helen), and Janice Tucker (Blaine); special friend, Carolyn Murray and her family; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place at Rainy River Cremation Service.
Friends were invited to visit with the family on Thursday, March 29, 2007 from 1-3 p.m. at the East End Hall in Fort Frances, Ont.
The honourary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
