Lena Wallen (nee Fedoruk), 86, of International Falls, Mn., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010 at the Rainy Lake Medical Center.
Lena was born Dec. 2, 1923 at Orleans, Mn. and was raised in Fort Frances, Ont.
She married Lindy Wallen on Jan. 2, 1949 and later moved to International Falls.
She enjoyed dancing with her life partner, Lindy, volunteering, fishing, travelling, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, Sam and Lucy (Mikety) Fedoruk.
Lena is survived by her husband, Lindy C. Wallen of International Falls, Mn.; sons, Lindy K. (Angela) of Sacramento, Calif. and Bruce (Nancy) of Brainerd, Mn.; daughter, Ellen Mae (Gregg) Pederson of Bloomington, Mn.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She also is survived by her brothers, Sambo (Esther) Fedoruk and John Cassie Fedoruk, and sister, Mae Fedoruk, all of Fort Frances, Ont.; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was conducted Friday, Nov. 5, 2010 at the Green-Larsen Memorial Chapel.
Interment will be at Ericsburg Cemetery at a later date.
