LAWRENCE BADIUK

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lawrence Alex Badiuk on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008 at the age of 58 with his wife and children by his bedside, at home in Dryden, Ont., after a courageous battle with cancer.
Lawrence was born Sept. 22, 1950 to Alex and Della Badiuk in Vita, Man., and was raised in Fort Frances, Ont.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary, for the last 13 years in Dryden; his mother, Della Badiuk of Fort Frances, Ont.; his daughters, Annette (Ed Feller) and Donna (Adrien Maltaise); son, Danny (Tamara); and 11 grandchildren.
Also surviving are his brothers, Dan (Jan) of Hamilton, Ont. and Andy (Lisa) of Fort Frances, Ont.; three sisters, Janet Godbout of Thunder Bay, Ont., Emily (Renald) Lauzier of Dryden, Ont., and Marilyn (Kim Morrison) of Fort Frances, Ont.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Alex Badiuk; two sisters, Anne in infancy in 1948 and Linda in 1979; and his first wife, Claudette (Vien) in 1994.
Family and friends may visit at the Dryden Community Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 28, 2008 from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008 from 9 a.m.-noon.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Dryden.
