Unexpectedly on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at her residence with her family by her side, Laura Lougheed of Chapple Township, Ontario passed away at the age of 61.
Laura was born on August 4, 1948 in Belgium to Milford and Marie Louise Brigham.
She was united in marriage to Gerry Lougheed on July 25, 1970. They lived for a short while in Kenora, Ont before settling on the Lougheed family farm on Hwy 71.
Laura took great pride in her flower beds and garden. Her fondness for animals will be remembered by all who knew her.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Gerry; son, Russ; daughter, Cara-Lee (fiancée Darryl Bodnar); her mother, Marie Louise Brigham; brothers, Fran (Linda), Andy (Dawn), Glen (Kari), Bruce (Mary Ellen); sisters, Margaret (August) Olson, and Nellie Ewen; and numerous brother- and sister-in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father, Milford Brigham.
Family and friends will be received at the Northridge Funeral Home in Emo, Ont on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. Her funeral service will be held there on Thursday August 13, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Peggy Mason officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
Honourary pall bearers will be Laura’s brothers Fran, Andy, Glen and Bruce Brigham.
