It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Laura (Susie) Ann Foran-Ross on December 3, 2022, at the La Verendrye General Hospital.

Susie was born on January 1, 1963, to her parents Loretta and Pat Foran in Fort Frances. She graduated from Fort Frances High School in 1980 and went on to graduate from St. Lawrence College. Susie began her journey working at Family and Children Services and later attended Lakehead University to become a nurse. Susie then had her identical twin boys in 1995 and dedicated her life to taking care of her sons.

Susie was predeceased by her father Patrick Foran; her grandparents Olive and Dan Foran Sr.; her uncles Eugene (Booge) and Lynn McPherson; and her aunts Sueanne and Gladys.

Susie is survived and will be forever loved by her mother Loretta Foran; sons Nolan and Davis Ross; the love of her life Mike Sobkowicz; brother Greg (Randie); brother Mike; and niece Jessica. She will be greatly missed by the Ross side of the family including Monte Ross, Greg Ross, Sandra Ross, Dale and Shirley Ross; nieces Danielle (Matt), Sarah (Wes); and many other family members and friends.
Susie very much enjoyed time spent with her close girlfriends dancing the night away, loved fishing, gardening, and living at the lake. Susie also greatly admired watching her boys play hockey and enjoyed taking trips to We Fest to listen to country music.

Susie was beautiful, she had a heart of gold and a great sense of humour. She was very selfless, strong, caring and a resilient person. She was so proud of her boys and admired everything they have accomplished so far in life; she was always encouraging them to live life to the fullest. She was the best mom to her sons Nolan and Davis and if you said hockey, well I don’t think we need to say more!

Life is like a puzzle, every person was a piece of the puzzle and although we cannot name everyone, please know how important you were in our Susie’s life.

We Love You!

We Miss you!

See you soon “My Girl”

In keeping with Susie’s wishes, cremation has taken place, no formal service will be held, and a private family gathering will take place.
